The Doctor

It seems that at the same time each year, lots of people are getting sick. Last year we decided to make “The Doctor” into a project.

We began with simple revision of body parts, sicknesses and symptoms and advice a doctor might give. We also looked at dentists, health-centres and nurses. Through games and role-play we practiced this situation until we felt quite confident.

Then one day, while Adrian was mysteriously called away, a “real doctor” arrived with a doctor’s outfit and equipment. He examined all the students, asked them a few questions, checked they could stand on one leg while touching their nose and explain their symptoms.

 

Hopefully this very important area was made interesting, entertaining and most of all, memorable by this approach.
